Paris tourist tax for hostels
Paris adds a tourist tax per person per night on top of your room price. For youth hostels the rate is fixed.

Example: 3 people for 4 nights in a youth hostel come to 3 × 4 × €2.60 = €31.20 in tourist tax.
What to check
- Whether the tax is already included in the price shown or added at check-in.
- Whether your place is classified as a youth hostel or unclassified, since the calculation differs.
- Rates can change from year to year: confirm the current rate with the hostel before you travel.
